In Budget 2023, I secured €6m for the night-time economy. €2m of this will be allocated towards sound proofing upgrades for venues. This can also help prepare for a transition to later opening hours.
Today’s announcements follow recommendations in the Night-Time Economy Taskforce Report, a group I set up to help rejuvenate Ireland’s cultural nightlife scene. My officials & I will continue to work closely with the sector as it transforms.
Lots done, more to come!
