The children, parents and staff of Ballinteer Educate Together National School have been waiting since 2012 for their school to be built. They have not yet got clarity on where their classes will be in September 2017.

This is a totally unacceptable situation. I have raised this issue with Minister Bruton in the Dáil and asked him to provide certainty and a comprehensive plan for the future of the school and I joined them outside Leinster House in May when they called on the Minister to “Build Our School!”

Too many schools in our area have suffered from a lack of communication from the Department about their future and the Minister needs to actively engage with schools to help erase the uncertainty and worry from the parents, children and staff.
