A chara,
I hope you are keeping well and have had time to relax over the summer
months.
It has been a busy few months in my role as Minister for Tourism, Culture,
Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, as many of these sectors enjoy their first
high season without pandemic restrictions.
As your local Green T.D., I am doing my utmost to represent you and your
communities in Dublin Rathdown, placing climate and social justice
at the heart of everything I do. I am enjoying reconnecting with you all in
recent months, and I have documented some of the wonderful local events
that have taken place recently in this newsletter. I have also included some
important news and updates on local issues.
While the pressures of the pandemic have receded, I’m acutely aware
of the hardship the soaring cost of living is causing. Alongside my Green
Party colleagues, I am advocating for a Budget in September that will
deliver targeted supports and funding to help those most in need
during this challenging period. We are focused on measures that will
reduce the cost of childcare, ensure no one suffers this winter due to
increased energy costs, and measures to tackle the cost of housing.
It is an honour to serve the people of Dublin Rathdown, and I am grateful
for your continuing support. If I can be of assistance to you, your family, or
your community at any time, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
