Further Budget 2025 detail for Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media announced today:
A specific allocation of €3.2m to extend the tourism season and ensure all regions of the country benefit. This includes funding for the delivery of Ireland’s Business Events Strategy.
€2.5 million to support the ongoing development of our Night-Time Economy. This includes the 9 Night-Time Advisors across the country
+ a new grant scheme to support small, grassroots venues to enhance the vibrancy and cultural diversity in our night-time economy.
€2m in capital funding over the next 3 years for Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann to refurbish organisation’s regional and outreach centres.
On top of the €10m for new Media Fund schemes already agreed, €6m goes towards news & current affairs content, ring-fenced for commercial radio & TV.
