Leinster House

“I have spoken many times in Leinster House since my election. I used my maiden speech to exhort our political parties to show some leadership, Step up to the plate and represent those who elected them.”

I have spoken on:

Mental health and resilience

The need for our children to have the toolbox of skills to cope at a time of crisis.

Standing up for our schools and communities, seeking equality of access and opportunity in education, supporting students with special educational needs

Homelessness and housing

Particularly in relation to evictions, those suffering under fear of evictions and at risk of homelessness.

Feictear dom go bhfuil deá -thoil i leith na Gaeilge sa Dáil agus leanfaidh mé ag labhairt as Gaeilge go minic chun a léiriú don rialtas go gcaithfear aird a thabhairt ar chearta teanga ionas gur féidir freastal ar riachtanais mhuintir na Gaeilge ar fud na tíre.Cé go bhfuil borradh sa Ghaeilge faoi láthair tá todhchaí na Gaeltachta i mbaol cheana féin.Caithfear infheistíocht a dhéanamh i seirbhisí tacaíochta gan mhoil.

Heritage and animal rights

I have spoken against the Government’s plans to de-designate 46 bogs as Natural Heritage Areas. This proposed de-designation is bad for the economy, bad for the environment, bad for protecting our towns and villages from flooding, and bad for biodiversity and wildlife.

Support a Bill to ban hare coursing

The Green Party has always been opposed to all blood sports and remain resolutely so.
